The Milky Way Over Rural Illinois

I live in the Chicago suburbs where it’s pretty hard to see the stars at night, so I enjoy any trip we make to see family in rural northwestern Illinois where it’s darker at night. I took these on a recent Saturday around 10:45 when there was only the tiniest sliver of a present moon in the sky, and not a single cloud getting in the way. These were shot between 16-24 seconds, f1.4, ISO 800.
